A. You may book online through our secure online booking console by clicking "Book Now" on the top bar. You can also book one of our tutors by calling us at (514) 800-2536.
Q. What are the times and locations for your tutoring services?A. The hours are flexible and are scheduled as per your convenience based on our tutor's availabilities. The vast majority of our sessions are conducted at the home of the student, unless the student prefers an alternate location.
Q. How long are sessions?A. All sessions are a minimum 90 minutes, we suggest that no session last longer than 120 minutes in an attempt to be as effective with the time as possible and maintain student's attention & focus.
Q. How much do sessions cost?A. The average 90 minute tutoring session costs $60 and includes GST & PST. Discounts may apply to bulk hour purchases. Each additional student is $25 per session.
Q. Can I cancel my session?A. Yes! However, if the client cancels the lesson less than 24 hours before the appointment the client must pay a cancellation fee equal to one half the tutoring rate. To cancel, please call us directly and a representative will help you immediately.
Q. Does Laurus Educational Services tutor students with learning disabilities?A. Yes! We have tutors trained specifically to teach students with learning disabilities. When you fill your Individual Educational Profile, you will be asked specific questions concerning student which will be forwarded to the tutor.
Q. How do I pay for your services?A. Our payments are handled by Paypal's secure online servers. If you would prefer to pay over the phone arrangements can be made. We also accept cheques.
Q. What if I am not satisfied with the tutor that has been assigned to me?A. In the case that you are not completely satisfied with the tutor we have matched you up with, please contact our office within 48 hours of your session to voice your concern. It is our commitment to you that you will not be charged unless you are 100% satisfied.
Q. Are your services deductible on your income tax?A. Unfortunately, the services offered by Laurus Educational Services are not admissible for income tax. Some collective insurance plans do reimburse a part of the expenses related to our services. We advise you to contact your insurer for more information.
Q. What is the role of the parent whose child is using Laurus Educational Services?A. The parent has an important role complementary to the services offered by us. Parents involvement is extremely important in keeping students motivated in school. We encourage all parents to stay involved with their child's educational process.
